NCGA expresses support for RFS in EPA comments

The groups seeking a temporary waiver of the Renewable Fuel Standard to address the drought-induced increase in corn prices have not shown proof that the RFS causes severe harm to the economy, according to comments submitted by the National Corn Growers Association to the Environmental Protection Agency. Moreover, a waiver would be premature because the size of the corn crop is still uncertain, the association said.
