CFTC's O'Malia discusses SEF launch

Scott O'Malia, a member of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, says hundreds of billions of dollars worth of interest-rate and credit derivatives have been traded on swap-execution facilities during their initial days of operation. "We haven't heard of significant glitches so far," O'Malia said. However, he says gathering consistent data on transactions has been challenging.
