Fertility problems raise gestational diabetes risk, study says

Women with a history of infertility had a 39% increased risk of developing gestational diabetes when they got pregnant, according to a study in the American Journal of Epidemiology. Reproductive problems associated with infertility, such as ovulation disorder and blocked fallopian tubes, also elevated the risk of gestational diabetes by 52% and 83% respectively, researchers said.
