Report: Renewables to get 70% of global spending on power by 2025

Of the global investment in new electricity generation, 70% will go to renewable energy by 2025, as nations accelerate efforts to shift away from fossil fuels, according to projections from Citibank. Wind power will account for more than $2 trillion of the nearly $10 trillion in investments that the power industry will receive in the next decade, while hydropower will account for $1.5 trillion and solar, $1.3 trillion, the report found.
