RFID tech aids traceability efforts at Taiwan fruit plant

Fruit producer Je-Nong Cooperative Farm is using passive RFID chips embedded in plastic fruit crates to track the journey of the fresh fruit through its facility in Miaoli County. The facility, which processes about 386 tons of fresh grapes, pears, oranges, mangos and other fruit each year, has also installed active RFID sensors to keep track of temperature data in the cooling units.
