Sequestration continues to take a toll on schools

Two Democratic lawmakers released a report Thursday showing ways they say schools nationwide have been affected by sequestration -- across-the-board federal spending cuts enacted earlier this year. While some of the report's claims are disputed, the lawmakers contend that districts nationwide have increased class sizes, eliminated behavioral specialists, reduced special-education program specialists and made other cuts -- due largely to reductions in Title I funding under sequestration.
