U.S. consumers more likely than others to use generic drugs

A study by Phoenix Marketing International revealed 37% of American consumers said they prefer using generic medications over brand-name drugs, compared with 12% of consumers in the United Kingdom, 22% of those in France and 21% in Canada. Just 7% of Americans would feel uncomfortable using generic medications for serious disorders, according to the data.
