Whirpool's Tenn. manufacturing facility earns sustainability recognition

The Whirlpool Corp. manufacturing facility in Cleveland, Tenn. has earned LEED Gold Certification thanks to facility features such as highly reflective roofing materials, low-flow plumbing and preferential parking spots for employees with low-emissions vehicles. The 1.5 million square-foot space produces ovens, ranges and cooktops and is the largest cooking manufacturing facility in North America.
