Bush Asks U.S. Kids To Help Children In Afghanistan

President Bush on Oct. 11 urged U.S. children to contribute $1 each to a special fund created to help children in Afghanistan, many of whom suffer from malnutrition. Bush called the fund "an opportunity to help others while teaching our children a valuable lesson about service and character."
