Midmarket hotels hop on "white marshmallow" bedwagon

Beds at midmarket hotels are getting fancier and fluffier as chains compete with the luxurious beds offered at high-end hotels. Starwood's Westin started the trend in 1999 and now the company's more moderate Four Points by Sheraton is getting its own adapted version of the "white marshmallow" experience, complete with an 11.5-inch thick mattress and nine-inch "Shock Absorber" mattress foundation.
