11 members of UN peacekeeping team die in plane crash

An investigation is underway in Haiti to determine the cause of the plane crash that killed 11 military officers from Uruguay and Jordan. The deceased were part of a 9,000-member UN peacekeeping force stationed in Haiti. The plane -- a Uruguayan CASA212 -- was monitoring the Dominican Republic border when it went down in rugged terrain west of Fonds-Verrettes.
