Carrefour CEO explains strategy, future of hypermarkets

Lars Olofsson became CEO of Carrefour, the second-largest retailer in the world, in January. The company has faced numerous challenges this year and is cautious about its outlook. In this interview, Olofsson discusses his goals for the retail giant and how he plans to attain those goals. He remains bearish on the global economy, with the exception of Latin America. "The only part of the world where they are still dancing the samba is Latin America. The economies there continue to grow quite well," Olofsson said.
