Consumers buying specialty foods

Consumers of specialty foods -- nearly half of the population in the U.S. -- are most commonly looking for coffees, cheeses, chocolates and olive oils from that category, according to an industry group. "They might just be purchasing a nice coffee or a nice cheese, or some chocolates, rather than purchasing across a lot of categories," said an executive with that group.
