Increase in student parking fees is questioned in Virginia district

A Virginia school district is charging eight times as much for student parking on high-school campuses this school year, leading to criticism from students and parents. Defending the increase from $25 to $200, principals say driving to school is a privilege and that students can ride the bus. A schools spokesman said the district is on its way to raising more than $500,000 through the parking fee.
