Judge permits Calif. high-speed rail plan to move forward

A Sacramento County Superior Court judge allowed California's plan for high-speed rail to proceed along the Pacheco Pass route. The high-speed rail would link Southern and Northern California, but environmental groups challenged the route selection in court. The Pacheco Pass route would take the bullet trains through the Peninsula instead of the East Bay.
