Parents part of problem, solution in childhood obesity

Infants who gained more weight and gained weight more quickly in the first six months of life were at a greater risk for obesity at age 3, a study in Pediatrics found. The way parents feed their infants and respond to cues that they are full may be factors in whether a child becomes obese, another study showed.
