REITs solve the illiquidity problem of real estate

The stable income and low correlation to other types of investments are powerful arguments for investing in real estate, said Julian Hince, business development officer of iShares for the IFA sector. But real estate has one other troublesome characteristic, illiquidity, Hince said. A simple solution is investing in real estate through REIT shares or exchange-traded funds, Hince said.
