Relaxation, imagery help young patients reduce stomach pain

A study in Pediatrics found children can use relaxation techniques and their imagination to cut frequent stomach pain. Researchers said children in the study had 20 minute sessions of "guided imagery" to prompt them to imagine things that would reduce their pain, and 73.3% reported their abdominal pain was reduced by 50% or more by the end of the treatment course.
