Report: FAA still not revoking pilot licenses of convicted criminals

Drug lords, arms traffickers and other known criminals continue to hold FAA pilot certification, ABC News reports. The problem occurs because the FAA fails to cross-check its pilot lists with terrorist watch lists maintained by other federal agencies. A TSA spokesperson responded to an ABC inquiry by noting that both TSA and the FAA "work closely together to screen the nearly 4 million FAA certificate holders to keep the American people safe."
