Researchers investigate better methods to build bridges

Canada's National Research Council Institute for Research in Construction is studying ways to improve concrete bridge structures. One study examines the use of advanced fiber-reinforced polymers in protecting bridges from shocks. Meanwhile, another study looks at the use of ultra high-performance concrete to build lightweight bridges.
