Signs of progress in fight against breast cancer

Targeted treatments, better surgical options, good reconstruction outcomes after mastectomy, and more emphasis on prevention and screening are helping to win the battle against breast cancer. Researchers also are beginning new studies and recruiting hundreds of thousands of women to look for new risk factors that could lead to even better prevention efforts.
