Blog: EMS helicopter regulations are a good start

Federal regulations on emergency medical services helicopters are long overdue, according to blogger Paul Bertorelli. EMS helicopters often fly in risky conditions, and can endanger patients. "They fly at low altitude, often without benefit of the instrument flight plans that help keep airline travel safe and many landings are at urban LZs, not airports," writes Bertorelli.
