Capital One's Hammett plays key role in transformation

Capital One Bank has been shifting over the past few year from a credit-card-issuing company to a national banking giant. Suzanne Hammett, chief risk officer at Capital One, has been integral in the transformation as the bank meshes the commercial lending operations of the three bank acquisitions it has made in recent years. "We had to -- in very short order -- build a world-class risk management practice around our commercial banking business as well as consumer lending," she said.
