Fictional chewing gum moves toward reality

Researchers at the Institute of Food Research in England are developing chewing gum that would release different flavors in a sequence, much like the gum in the children's book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." The gum would contain nanostructures that would burst upon chewing, to create a gum that delivers the flavors of a three-course meal.
