Obstacles cloud restaurants' solar-power efforts

Installing solar panels offers eateries green bragging rights, but climate limitations and operational challenges make the process more complicated than it seems at first. Chipotle, which plans to install solar panels at 75 of its restaurants, has found the process to be more time-consuming than expected. Solar efforts have paid off for some, including the Tender Greens store in San Diego, whose $2,000 investment in a solar-powered water heater has cut the monthly water-heating bill by 30%.
