Voser: Shell is more equipped to handle deepwater disasters

Royal Dutch Shell would have opted for a different approach in drilling a deepwater well like BP's ruptured one in the Gulf of Mexico, said CEO Peter Voser. The company also "had more options to prevent an accident," Voser added. Separately, he said, Shell has boosted output from Iraq's Majnoon field from 45,000 barrels per day to 70,000 barrels per day.
