What online tools and Web functions consumers respond to depends on their condition, according to an online behavior study of more than 5,000 respondents. Patients with diabetes, for example, liked sites with "useful tools" and those that connected them to a larger community. Other consumers, such as those looking for information on respiratory disease, preferred sites that provided access to health care professionals.
