$3B Idaho nuclear project secures NRC approval

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission approved Areva's license to construct and operate a uranium-enrichment facility in Idaho. The Eagle Rock Enrichment Facility will be capable of providing fuel for the country's 104 nuclear plants, Areva spokesman Jarret Adams said. The plant could come online by 2014.
