The Mexican bush sage plant can enliven autumn gardens because it produces purple or lavender calyces with vibrant blossoms, Molly Day writes. The plant flourishes under full sunlight exposure, but it can be grown in partial shade. It requires moderate irrigation and removal of its flowers once they have wilted, Day notes.
