Construction of $1.5B power plant in N.M. may start in early 2012

Construction of an electrical superstation in New Mexico could begin early next year, according to Phillip Harris, president and CEO of Tres Amigas power project. The blueprint for the $1.5 billion power project covers a 10-year, three-phase buildout period. The project is expected to create "literally hundreds" of jobs.
