A surprisingly long list of plants commonly adorning owners' homes and yards are toxic to pets if ingested, and one family's loss led them to educate others about the dangers of plants. Veterinarian Emily Ball recommends keeping plants out of pets' reach, particularly if the item is toxic or if the owner is unsure of its toxicity.
