Cyber-attacks on large American financial institutions and the world's largest oil producer prompted Defense Secretary Leon Panetta to say that the U.S. faces the threat of a "cyber-Pearl Harbor." Panetta warned that hackers from China, Russia, Iran or militant groups could disable financial networks, the government, transportation systems and the power grid.
