Farm subsidy trade talks stall

U.S. trade officials expressed disappointment that more progress was not made on reforming farm subsidies and import tariffs during recent talks with their European counterparts. The U.S. offered to cut farm subsidies 60%, but the Europeans failed to agree to demands the U.S. made in return. The ministers agreed to meet again next week.
