Production test of staph vaccine said to be successful

A production test of Nabi Biopharmaceuticals' anti-staph vaccine showed it can be consistently manufactured on a large-scale level, the company reported. The drug StaphVax, which has been given fast-track status by the FDA, is intended to boost patients' anti-staphylococci antibodies, giving them extra immune protection against the bacteria. Nabi said it plans to apply for FDA approval this year.
