Snack foods, non-carbonated drinks boost Pepsi profits

Thanks to a bump in non-carbonated beverage and snack sales, PepsiCo has reported a 71% increase in third quarter earnings. Double-digit gains were seen for Tostitos, SunChips and Quaker snacks, and a 13% increase in non-carbonated beverages off-set a 2% decline in carbonated beverage sales.
