Concerns raised over "never events" reporting in New Hampshire

Advocacy group N.H. Patient Voices, working to improve patient care in New Hampshire, is urging hospitals to report cases of serious, preventable medical errors, or "never events." Unlike other states, New Hampshire is not required to report these errors, which include mismatched blood transfusions. Medicare recently stopped reimbursing hospitals for some never events, and consumers are concerned that this could lead to higher insurance premiums.
