Live spots on "Kimmel" boost ABC's coffers by roughly $4M

Live TV spots on Jimmy Kimmel's late-night talk show for marketers including Nikon, Samsung and Pontiac have brought in about $4 million in additional sales for ABC since May, according to this article. The ad-libbed spots, which reportedly were the brainchild of Kimmel, are nearly sold out through the end of year. "They are a good story for both the networks and for advertisers," said Rachel Mueller-Lust, EVP of IAG Research's network unit.
