Symptom diary might help track down IBS triggers

Gastroenterologist Dr. Holly Clark of Salt Lake City says that stress and diet are key factors involved in irritable bowel syndrome and that patients may be able to reduce their symptoms if they can identify their individual triggers. Clark recommends keeping a symptom diary to identify triggers but cautions that it may take some trial-and-error to find relief.
