Abused women have myriad health problems

Women in violent relationships are more likely than other women to have a variety of medical problems beyond bruises and depression, including abdominal pain, chest pain, headaches, acid reflux and urinary tract infections, a study found. The researchers said health care professionals should consider more carefully if female patients are being abused.
