Google's Android operating system has gained a foothold in the wireless-software market, but industry observers are pointing to potential land mines still in its path. Those include maintaining solid relationships with its partners and encouraging more developers to create products for its app market. "The benefits Google promoted to handset makers appear to be realized. The value of Android to Google, especially from a revenue aspect, is yet to be proven," said Forrester Research analyst Charles Golvin.
