DOT distributes $3.652B in stimulus funds to states

States have received $3.652 billion from the stimulus package to pay for infrastructure projects as of Sept. 30, according to the Department of Transportation. The Federal Highway Administration, which has distributed more than $2 billion to states, accounts for most of the funds. The DOT is expected to spend a total of $48 billion under the two-year stimulus package, but it has yet to decide which projects will get a share of $8 billion set aside for high-speed rail corridors and passenger rail development.
