Palfrey: Certain components needed for reform to benefit children

Health care reform should improve access to care, bolster preventive and coordinated care and support a pediatric medical home model to benefit children, writes Dr. Judith Palfrey, president-elect of the American Academy of Pediatrics, in the New England Journal of Medicine. She said reform legislation also should ensure providers are adequately reimbursed and all children and young adults are covered by health insurance.
