Alibaba, Microsoft launch beta version of search site

Alibaba Group, the Chinese e-commerce giant, has teamed up with Microsoft to develop a new online search website called Etao. The move pits Etao against Baidu, which dominates the search market in China. Etao is part of an effort to drive traffic to Taobao.com, the retail site of Alibaba.
