Federal efforts may not lure small providers to adopt EHRs

Federal incentives may not be enough to spur small physician practices to adopt electronic health records, the Oregon Health Network's president said at a congressional hearing. "EHRs still do not allow providers to see more patients in a day, spend more quality time with their patients, or guarantee better or more consistent health outcomes for their patients," he said.
