Feds issue environmental study for Chukchi Sea drilling

Federal regulators released a report on offshore drilling in Alaska's Chukchi Sea, which centered on the most workable scenarios for developing and producing natural gas there. According to the study, a lease sale in the Chukchi can proceed despite gaps in environmental data. "More review is yet to come that looks at the Arctic region as a whole," said Michael Bromwich, director of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement.
