Feds will hasten analysis of soil-test results on Dallas levees

The Army Corps of Engineers would act swiftly to finish its analysis of additional soil tests on the Trinity River levees in Dallas to help the city fix the structures before the Federal Emergency Management Agency releases new flood maps for the region. "We'll get some of those results probably within 30 days, and by January we'll have enough data to see if we're on track to give us better confidence in the design that the city had submitted to the corps," said an official.
