USDA invests in studying food-choice psychology

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is funding research by food-behavior scientists with the goal of encouraging children to make more nutritious choices when buying school lunches. Some changes that have shown results include moving salad bars closer to the checkout and keeping ice cream out of view.
