Wis. governor's attorneys to fight stem cell research injunction

Attorneys representing Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle have requested permission from a federal judge to file an amicus brief challenging an injunction that seeks to ban government funding for embryonic stem cell research. Doyle said the injunction could jeopardize the state's bioscience sector and restrict studies that aim to discover treatments for various diseases.
