The Cleveland Clinic's wellness program, which includes a tobacco-free campus, a focus on nutrition and fitness, and stress-management classes, has changed employee behavior, improved health and slowed the growth of health costs. The clinic tracks the health of employees and ties results to insurance rates, helping increase participation. Employees have lost a total of 250,000 pounds since 2005 and lowered their blood pressure readings.
