Netflix pursues youths with CW streaming deal

Netflix has acquired rights to stream library and current programming from the youth-oriented CW television network in a deal with co-owners Time Warner and CBS. Netflix, which is facing a host of challenges because of increasing costs, higher prices, a diminished library of newer films to stream and greater competition, has also been active on Capitol Hill. The House Judiciary Committee on Thursday approved a bill that would clear the way for Netflix and Facebook to enter a video-sharing arrangement.
